Dr. Debidas Chattoraj

A gifted professor, educationist and researcher, Dr. Chattoraj, joined West Bengal Education Service in 1973 after completing M.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics from University of Calcutta. Since then, Dr. Chattoraj was engaged in a number mathematics faculty in various government colleges across West Bengal. In 1980, he completed his Ph.D. Afterward, he published several research papers in various National and International mathematical journals of repute and addressed several national and international mathematics seminars.

In 1996, he was appointed as Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics in prestigious Presidency College, Kolkata.

More than three decades this talented teacher transformed mathematics in to fun to learn from secondary to post graduate level students. As a writer he lend his hand to co-author a book on mechanics “Elementary Analytical Mechanics” for undergraduate and post graduate level students.
